Last updated: April 12, 2026
1. Overview
Teen Opportunities (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we may share it, and the choices you have when you use our website.
2. Age Requirement
Teen Opportunities is intended for users age 13 or older. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use forms that collect personal information or to submit personal information through the website. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as your email address, name, organization name, website links, opportunity details, descriptions, LinkedIn links, issue reports, newsletter signups, support-related communications, and any other information you choose to send through forms, email, or other contact methods.
We may also collect limited technical or usage information automatically or through service providers, such as browser type, device type, approximate location information inferred from IP address, IP address, referral information, pages viewed, and basic interaction or diagnostic data.
If you use a third-party support or payment platform linked from the website, such as a fundraising or creator-support service, that platform may collect information directly from you under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the website
- review, moderate, edit, publish, update, or remove submissions
- respond to questions, reports, corrections, and requests
- send newsletters, new opportunity updates, site announcements, operational communications, and communications related to the website
- send support, fundraising, sponsorship, or partnership-related communications connected to the website
- protect the website, detect abuse, and maintain security
- maintain records and internal administration
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
5. Public Content and Submissions
Some information submitted to the website may be reviewed, edited, and published publicly as part of a listing or related site content. This may include opportunity titles, descriptions, dates, locations, organization names, links, categories, and similar submission details.
Contact information and other identifying details you provide to us, such as submitter email addresses or internal moderation notes, are generally collected for operational use and are not intended to be displayed publicly unless you clearly submit them for public display or the feature itself is designed to publish them.
We may review, edit, correct, decline, remove, or limit submissions at our discretion.
6. Newsletter and Communications
If you provide your email address, we may use it to send newsletters, new opportunity updates, site announcements, operational communications, support-related updates, and other messages reasonably related to the operation, growth, or support of the website.
You may unsubscribe from marketing or promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the email, if available, or by contacting us.
We may still send limited non-promotional communications where reasonably necessary for operational, security, legal, or account-related reasons.
7. Opportunity Submissions and Reports
People who submit opportunities, reports, or corrections do not have to be the owner, organizer, or official representative of the opportunity, as long as they have a good-faith basis to believe the information is accurate, lawful, and appropriate for the site.
If an owner, organizer, sponsor, rights holder, or authorized representative asks us to correct, update, or remove a listing, we may review the request and modify or remove the content.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information as a standalone product or to data brokers.
We may share information with service providers, contractors, or tools that help us run the website, such as hosting, analytics, email, moderation, forms, database, infrastructure, or support tools, but only as reasonably necessary for those services.
We may also share information when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of the website, our users, or others.
If we go through a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of the website or related operations, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
9. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the website, maintaining records, responding to submissions and requests, resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and complying with legal obligations.
We may retain backup copies, archived records, moderation logs, or limited residual data for operational, security, legal, or compliance reasons even after certain information is updated or removed from public display.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect information. No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The website may contain links to third-party websites, forms, applications, social platforms, support platforms, or other services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, terms, or operations of third-party sites or services.
When you leave our website or interact with a third-party tool, that third party’s terms and privacy policy may apply instead of ours.
12. Users Under 18
Users under 18 should use care when submitting personal information and, where appropriate, should review opportunities, applications, and submissions with a parent, guardian, counselor, teacher, or other trusted adult.
13. Your Choices
You may choose not to provide certain information. You may also request corrections, updates, or deletion of information you submitted, subject to operational, legal, security, archival, or recordkeeping limits.
In some cases, we may not be able to fully delete information that has already been published, incorporated into site records, retained in backups, or kept for legitimate operational or legal reasons, but we may still be able to limit, revise, or remove it from public display.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
15. Contact
